Economic impact of immigration revealed
This Report, 'The
Economic and Fiscal Impact of Immigration' (Cm. 7237), has been produced as
a cross-departmental submission to the inquiry being conducted by the House of
Lords Select Committee on Economic Affairs into the economic impact of
immigration in the UK.
Education and Children's Services inspection data
released
This publication, 'The
Annual Report of Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education, Children's
Services and Skills 2006/07' (HC 1002), brings together Office for Standards
in Education, Children's Services and Skills (Ofsted) inspection and regulation
data covering the period from September 2006 to August 2007.
Family mediation reviewed
This Report, 'Legal Services Commission: Legal Aid and Mediation for People
Involved in Family Breakdown' (HC 396), examines the shortcomings of the
current system for referring clients to mediation in situations of family
breakdown.

Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman, looking into the Child and Working
Tax Credits system.

the British people?
'Meeting
the Aspirations of the British People: 2007 Pre-Budget Report and Comprehensive
Spending Review’ (Cm 7227), presents updated assessments and forecasts of
the economy and public finances, describes reforms that the Government is
making, and sets out the Government's priorities and spending plans upto
2010-11.
Business rate supplements proposed
‘Business
Rate Supplements: A White Paper’ (Cm. 7230) sets out the Government's
proposal to introduce a power for local authorities and the Greater London
Authority (GLA) to raise and retain local supplements on the national business
