How does it affect me?

If you work in the defence industry, this affects you.

While good progress has been made overall in implementing the Defence Industrial Strategy, the Committee finds that:

  • Progress in reshaping the maritime sector has been “disappointing”
  • Concerns are arising regarding the working in practice of the Joint Strike Fighters (JSF) programme with the United States
  • The Ministry of Defence must provide opportunities for small and medium defence suppliers to complete for contracts under the long-term partnering procurement arrangements.
