New Bills receive Royal Assent

The Bills and secondary legislation included:

• Law Commission Act 2009: Chapter 14 – An Act to make provision in relation to the Law Commission.
• Autism Act 2009: Chapter 15 – An Act to make provision about meeting the needs of adults with autistic spectrum conditions.
• Holocaust (Return of Cultural Objects) Act 2009: Chapter 16 – An Act to confer power to return cultural objects on grounds relating to events occurring in the Nazi era.
• Driving Instruction (Suspension and Exemption Powers) Act 2009: Chapter 17 – An Act to provide for the suspension in certain circumstances of registration and licences relating to the provision of driving instruction; to make provision about exemptions from prohibitions concerning registration (including provision about suspension); and to make provision about compensation in connection with suspension.
• Perpetuities and Accumulations Act 2009: Chapter 18 – An Act to amend the law relating to the avoidance of future interests on the grounds of remoteness and the law relating to accumulations of income.
• Green Energy (Definition and Promotion) Act 2009: Chapter 19 – An Act to define the term "green energy" and to promote its development, installation and usage.
• Scottish Statutory Instruments 2007 – Includes General Instruments No. 1 to No. 577.
