An Amendment
Amendments are proposals to change the
text of a Bill.
There are specific stages in the lifecycle of a Bill
when amendments may be proposed to a Bill specifically, committee stage and
Report stage in the House of Commons and Committee stage Report stage and Third
Reading in the House of Lords.
