An Act
An Act of Parliament is a Bill that
has been granted Royal Assent and has become a law.
When Royal Assent is
granted, the Act is assigned a 'chapter' indicating how many Acts have been
granted Royal Assent that year by the Monarch: thus, the
Equality Act 2010 is Elizabeth II, Chapter 15.
